Malacca says Hello!

Welcome everyone to Projek ARM.

Which abbreviated from Malacca River Art Project, in backwards. MRA doesn't really sound good, or recognizable from the familiarity point of view. Hence, ARM.

Anyway, the entire project is an interesting buildup for the city of Malacca, as a great historic city. In making the city a more diverse creatively, as many as 9 teams of graffiti artists will be required to produce great artworks, which would be the the center of attention for art loving tourists when they travel to Malacca.

I can't wait myself to see the interesting artworks to commence as I have followed graffiti art from Banksy to Shepard Fairey, for quite sometime. Local talents, are amazing for the past few years. If you happen to be in Kuala Lumpur, visit Central Market, and you will experience graffiti art, flourishing almost at every corner, especially the longest of all, on the walls of the Klang River banks.

Yes.

The updates for this blog will be as day to day basis, beginning 1st of February until 22nd February 2010. Of course, during the stretch, you will get photos, interviews and random rants from me and my team on the things that happens at the site, and the great city of Malacca itself.

Stay tuned for more great insights of the project as we embark to a journey, where street art and history juxtapose for a new exciting proposition.

Thank you. Come again!
